Bio

Rasha is an architect and a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Architects Registration Board in the UK. She has extensive experience working in the industry in the UK having been previously employed by John Simpson Architects. This experience extends to the UAE having worked for Woods Bagot and Emaar in Dubai, to name a few. She has also taught at the RIBA accredited Architecture & Design Department at Abu Dhabi University.

Rasha has a keen interest in digital architecture, the built environment and the arts. She holds a BA from the Manchester School of Architecture as well as a MSc from the University of East London. Her MSc thesis was supervised by the late Paul Coates who has a global reputation for his momentous input in the development and advancement of the entire field of generative systems, microcomputer-based graphics, along with the utilization of computers in architecture and design education. She has published academic papers inclusive of her MSc research topic as a journal article in the Design Principles & Practices Journal titled “Mass, Void & Subtraction: Digital Subtraction: A Volumetric Design Tool”, presented at their Tokyo, Japan conference.
