Rahul Malpure has Master’s Degree in Fine Arts (Animation Concentration) from University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA and Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from University of Pune, India.
Rahul Joined Zayed University in 2006 as na assistant professor and has been teaching courses in Animation, along with other supporting courses in the field of Graphic Design, Interior Design and Foundation.
Prior to Joining Zayed University Rahul was an assistant chair of Multimedia Department at ITT Technical Institute Youngstown, Ohio, USA, and as a part time instructor teaching online Animation and Gaming courses for Art Institute of Pittsburgh, USA. He has created various 3D animation shorts on topics such as personal identity, economic development and ecology.
Rahul has extensive working knowledge in 3D computer animation using industry standard software such as Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, Adobe flash and after effects. He started his animation career from Savannah College of Art and Design, where he changed his Graduate Degree major from Architecture to Animation to follow his passion to create art using computer technology.
Rahul has always been in touch with Architecture. He visits Manipal University, Dubai Campus every semester as external examiner to critique student projects in Interior Design and Architecture. He also works on Graphic Design, Interior Design and Architectural commissions and has completed two Interior Design and Graphic Design project in Dubai and working on an Architectural commission in India.
Rahul’s research interests are in new technologies in Animation and Multimedia and character development and animation. He enjoys learning new tools and techniques to enhance his skills. Currently he is also working on a DIY book on animation and Solar Powered animation Installation.
