Bio

Mohab is a certified interior designer in the State of California, U.S.A., and holding a master’s degree in interior design. He was also a member of IDEC, the Interior Design Educators Council, in the U.S. Before joining Zayed University, Mohab worked as an Assistant Professor and Department Chair at the School of Architecture and Design at the New York Institute of Technology. He has also taught at several private universities and institutes in Egypt.

With over a decade of international academic experience and 23 years in the interior architecture field, Mohab has worked in prominent firms of Italian, Malaysian, Emirati, Egyptian, and American origins. He is passionately interested in interdisciplinary research that bridges interior architecture with mental and emotional health. Color psychology was a central focus of his master’s degree and research. He has published several papers in Germany on these topics, two of which received awards. Additionally, he was honored with the ARCC King Student Medal in Canada for excellence in architecture and for mentoring exceptional student projects.

Beyond academia and design, Mohab is a travel photographer and has recently started exploring the art of writing, combining art, philosophy, and psychology as part of self-discovery journey, as well as sharing his experiences and perspectives.
