Bio
Jacqueline Soghman is an Assistant Professor with a substantial academic background in graphic design. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Notre Dame University (1997), followed by a Master of Arts in Graphic Design (2007) and a Master of Fine Arts (2011) from the Savannah College of Art and Design, USA. She began her career as a web designer before relocating to Washington, D.C., where she transitioned to a broadcast designer role, creating graphics for news and current affairs television shows. She commenced her teaching career in graphic design in 2008, specializing in multimedia education, focusing on UI/UX, screen-based design and branding, as well as guiding students through the Senior Studio course. Her current research interests center on the relationship between identity and design in the Middle East, exploring how cultural narratives influence visual communication.
As an educator and design professional, Jacqueline engages in research and creative projects, including developing website designs for governmental entities in Saudi Arabia and creating brand identities for regional companies. These initiatives emphasize user experience and digital aesthetics to enhance public engagement and resonate with target audiences. Her work reflects a commitment to advancing design standards and offers practical applications of theoretical knowledge. By blending research with hands-on experience, she enhances her students' knowledge across diverse areas of graphic design.
