Shortly afterwards, Nahed accepted a place in the Bartlett School of Architecture's PhD programme, where she was awarded a PhD in Architecture in 2019. Nahed has spent the past ten years studying geometrical patterns and computation. As well as fulfilling the lecturing duties of her PhD within Marjan Colletti's RC2 studio, Nahed has also taken up a teaching role at Central Saint Martins (UAL), where she has been teaching since 2014, and Westminster University in Interior Architecture.
Having spent much of the last decade researching, through her design London-based studio, which opened in 2014, NJ Architecture. Nahed is keen to share her knowledge. Her ambition is to use her studies to help form a new architectural language that combines the infinite possibilities of modern computational design with the ancient traditions of geometric patterns, an architecture that is both new and old at the same time, an architecture that is truly timeless.
