Design Development in the UAE Symposium is a gathering instigated by the College of Arts and Creative enterprises for Dubai Design Week. The event presents a curated line-up of contemporary UAE based designers showing an insight as Design practitioners in the UAE, developing their trade as designers, academics, learners and teachers.

In this inter-college collaboration between media and art & design, CACE graduates and CCMS social media students are working together to advance the promotion of art and design beyond the gallery, and social media beyond the limits of commercial advertising and branding.
This panel discussion will address how the role of biennials and art fairs have evolved and become porous. Where the biennial feeds the art market behind the scenes, the art fair looks to curatorial programming to legitimate itself as an artistic platform.
