Zayed University x Vision Factory

A collaboration between Zayed University and Vision Factory Furniture & Decoration where CACE Interior Design Students from the Abu Dhabi Campus participated in a Bespoke Furniture Design Contest.

Students from Zayed University responded to a Bespoke Furniture Design Contest call by Vision Factory Furniture & Decoration in Abu Dhabi. All the participants were students enrolled in the Furniture Design course as part of their Interior design major. The contest brief asked the students to explore innovative furniture design, with human interaction as a core theme using ‘Wood’ as a construction material.

For each contest round, students from the Collage of Arts and Creative Enterprises, worked on finalizing their design proposals. Spearheaded by the Vision Factory Team, an interactive session was held between the students and Vision Factory Furniture & Decoration professionals whom reviewed and commented on students’ technical drawings and advised on alterations based on manufacturing processes and best followed practices.

The winning designs that have been manufactured by Vision Factory Furniture & Decoration in 2016, 2017 and 2018 are represented by the photographs.   ‬
