The College of the Arts and Creative Enterprises (CACE), Zayed University is proud to present the work of our 2017 senior students in art and design. Projects in this exhibition represent the work developed by students in the four CACE majors of Animation Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design and Visual Art. CACE students initiate the idea of their major project and through intense research, creative thinking, problem solving and rigorous critique with both industry guests and faculty, they bring their work to a professional platform. This year we celebrate with our 2017 senior students in an exhibition of their final research project at the prestigious venues of Manarat Al Saadiyat in Abu Dhabi and d3 Dubai Design District.

CACE graduates have demonstrated their exceptional level of ability and achievement by winning many awards including: the Gulf Capital –ADMAF Creativity Award, The Christo & Jeanne Claude Award, the Sheikha Manal Young Artist Award and the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority’s Qasr al Hosn Cultural District Mosque Competition. Many of our students have also gone on to be part of the Salama bint Hamdan Emerging Artists Fellowship program.  Our intensive and rigorous art, design, new media and exhibition programs are practice based and industry-engaged. The critical and professional guidance of faculty at CACE, underpinned by cutting-edge technology and an innovative learning environment inspire a new generation of creative thinkers to build a vibrant art and design community in the UAE.  Art and design are major contributors to a nation’s creative economy and in the establishment of a global identity, they are a country’s greatest export.

This year we again will celebrate some of our distinctive alumni in the Manarat Al Saadiyat exhibition Markers & Makers. These dynamic female artists and designers have made contributions to the creative industry in the United Arab Emirates and have represented the UAE in cultural events across the world. They stand as role models of achievement for our senior students and the community.
