About the exhibition:

In May 2019, Janet Bellotto and Sabrina DeTurk led a group of Visual Arts students on a trip to Venice and the Venice Biennale. During this trip, the students visited important historic sites and art museums, such as San Marco, the Galleria Accademia, Doge’s Palace and Scuola Grande di San Rocco. This group responded and made artworks in response to their immediate experience and was exhibited In EMERGE III: Converging Lines, with other CACE artworks. Amira Al Bastaki, Hassana Arif, Hessa Al Fahim, Maitha Al Suwaidi, Malina Server, Mouza Albedwawi and Rafiaa Hussain present artworks that expand from their original idea relating Emirati and/or Arab Culture with the Venetian culture.
