Bio
Michael Pazinas is a Specialist, Pedagogical Innovation and Effectiveness at the Center for Educational Innovation and the lead on the @Lab Project an initiative that utilises innovative learning technologies in higher education. He is also a trained graphic designer and has created digital learning content for the British Council. Commissioned by Cambridge University Press, he designed and authored over 150 digital project briefs as part of a globally popular language learning series of textbooks for education.
Having worked in the Middle East for over a decade, Michael has implemented several design thinking learning projects and professional development programmes for faculty at educational institutions in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman. He has designed and led intensive professional learning sessions in Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and inclusive learning at Student Accessibility Services, Zayed University. He was also the learning experience designer behind the Abdul Wahid Al Rostamani Inclusive Learning Center at Student Accessibility Services (SAS), ZU a state-of-the-art inclusive learning center, inspired by Apple technology, offering an innovative space for Students of Determination, faculty and staff.
Michael is also the Lead Apple Professional Learning Specialist in the Middle East. He was instrumental in representing the region in 2016 being a member of the global Challenge Based Learning (CBL) Advisory Committee for innovative pedagogies in Higher Education with a special focus on measuring success.
