The Digital Teaching and Learning Series (DTLS) Certification Courses by Blackboard Academy provideprofessional development for education practitioners and teaching support staff in the use of digital learning technologies, to promote excellence, high quality and consistency in the student experience.
The CEI team are accredited to deliver the DTLS Courses to ZU faculty. Three courses are on offer:
DTLS Course A: Fundamentals of Digital Teaching and Learning

In this course you will learn about the pedagogies associated with the use of digital learning technologies. You will explore the fundamentals of course design and development from the perspective of the learning theories. You will also learn to apply these principles to create a plan for your online or blended course. |
DTLS Course B: Designing for Digital Teaching and Learning

In this course you will learn about practical design, development and delivery of online courses. You will acquire the skills needed to leverage the functionality available within the learning management system. You will also learn to translate your current teaching practices into the online environment. |
DLTS Course C: Excellence in Digital Teaching and Learning

In this course you will learn about the evaluation of online courses from the perspective of quality assurance and ongoing improvement. You will discuss how advanced approaches in digital teaching and learning could enhance your students' digital learning experience. You will also learn to evaluate your online course applying international standards. |
