Facilities - FAQ

Lockers:

Q1: How do I book a new locker?

A: Kindly follow the locker link to book a new locker: https://lockers.zu.ac.ae/

Q2: How many lockers am I allowed to book?

A: You are allowed to book one locker only.

Q3: How do I change my locker in case I want to book a new locker in another wing?

A: You are requested to clear your current locker first through the system, then you request for a new locker booking.

Q4: How do I get a key for the locker?

A: You can get your own padlock and use it as clarified in the link.

Q5: What shall I do if I have noticed that the locker is damaged?

A: Remove your personal belongings and then clear it through the locker system and write down the reason, then you request a new locker booking.

Q6: How can I clear my locker after graduation?

A: You can clear it through the locker system.

Q7: How can I get my items out of the locker after doing the clearance if I was not in campus?

A: You have to send an email to facilitesdxb@zu.ac.ae authorizing a person to collect your items in CPDS department, providing his/her ID and name.

Car Registration:

Q1: How can I register my car in the car system?

A: Kindly follow the car registration link to register your car: https://gatesystem.zu.ac.ae/

Q2: How many cars am I allowed to register in the system?

A: Two cars only shall be registered free of charge.

Q3: What are the required documents to register my car?

A: Please upload front and back copy of the car registration card (Mulkeya) and provide us with more information for example Family book/ EID or a proof of ownership and identification documents.

Lost and found:

Q1: How can I report a lost item on campus?

A: Kindly follow the lost & found request link : https://lostfound.zu.ac.ae

Q2: What shall I do if I found a lost item?

A: Kindly hand it over to the nearest security or CPDS department.

Q3: Can someone else collect my lost item on my behalf?

A: Yes, you have to send an email to facilitiesdxb@zu.ac.ae authorizing the person to collect your lost item and provide the name and ID of both of you.

Q4: Where is the location of the lost and found department?

A: Our office is located in the admin building – level 1 – Campus physical development & services department.

Car Parking & violation:

Q1: Can I park my car at the drop-off & pick-up?

A: No, parking at the drop-off & pick-up area is forbidden and you will receive a warning if you park there and police might apply fine on you.

Q2: What shall I do if I find a warning card on my car?

A: Kindly note that this warning will be registered by security and in case of repetition this shall be escalated to Student Affairs.

Q3: What shall I do if I don’t find a parking?

A: Please ask for help from the security or CPDS department.

Office Key:

Q1: What shall I do if I forget my office key?

A: Please ask the security to open the office for that day. Note: Security is not permitted to continually open the office door for more than a 3 days for employees who have been assigned the office keys.

Q2: What shall I do if I lose my office key?

A: Please pay the fees for the lost key and send us the receipt to issue you a new key.


Campus Services - FAQ

Q1: How can I submit online printing request?

A: Please follow the below instructions to submit online printing request:

  • Go to www.zu.ac.ae

  • Click on e-services

  • Login with your ZU ID

  • Click on online printing system

  • Click on start

  • Fill the form and attach your files

  • Click Submit

  • Visit the Business center to collect your ready documents.

Q2: How can I recharge my ZU ID card?

A: There are two options to recharge your ZU ID card:

1. Using online payment available in black board.

2. Using kiosks machines available either outside the business center or at the Hub.

Q3: How can I use the Kiosk machine?

A: Please follow the below instructions to use the Kiosk machine:

  • Click on business center option

  • Choose your preferred language

  • Scan the University ID/Enter manually

  • Choose the payment amount

  • Select the payment option (Payment can be done using debit/credit cards, Cash or apple pay) Collect the payment receipt and bank receipt

  • Your ID card is now ready to be used at the business center.

Q4: Can I send a courier shipment through BC?

A: The courier service is available only for staff and faculty

Q5: What services BC provides for the students?

A: Business Center provides the following services for students:

  • Color and B&W printing and photocopying

  • Binding and laminating services

  • Scanning documents and images

  • CD Burning and labelling

Q6: Can I pay cash for BC services?

A: No. BC does not accept cash payments
