Two Renowned Authors to Speak at Zayed University during Emirates Airline Festival of Literature
Alka Joshi, a New York Times bestseller, and Sara Gay Forden (Author of the 'House of Gucci', which was recently taken out to the public as a motion picture directed by Ridley Scott), are both guest speakers at Zayed University (ZU) during the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature. Year of 50^th 2021

As the UAE enters a new phase of development over the next 50 years, Zayed University in both its academic and administrative bodies are mapping out its continued path towards educational advancement through dedicated initiatives aimed at priming ZU students for professions of the “Next 50”. Zayed University commits itself to progress, in tandem and consistently enabling our students with the highest quality of education, delivered through innovative and industry relevant educational methods.

Year of Tolerance 2019

Zayed University has ventured into the YoT with complete tenderness, care and responsibility. A stretch of a year-long celebrations has had the utter means to connect its community in a common mold that shows the importance of accepting our differences, and the need to intermingle to complete the process of peaceful living between individuals no matter how different we are from each other.

Year of Zayed 2018

Many appearances of UAE’s founding father Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan’s legacy were highlighted during the year-long series of events. Bearing his name, our University has marked this dear occasion across various activities, from historical seminars, to film festivals, to educational conferences, and international participations crossing landmasses from Greece all the way to China.

Year of Giving 2017

Driven by social responsibility, volunteering, and servicing their beloved nation, Zayed University students unveiled the true identity of care and compassion. They had shown true capability and capacity to make a real difference in the lives of those around them. Our students have proudly been part of nursing homes, assisted people of determination, joined charitable institutions, and been part of environmental or humanitarian initiatives.

Year of Reading 2016

Zayed University turned into a reading oasis during the YoR. Most notable achievement was landing the nations ‘Best Year of Reading proposed Initiative’ Award, which was delivered by a number of students for dedicating time and efforts to arrange the supply of books to hospitalized children and adolescents to read. The University, during that year, held and organized several seminars about the importance of reading and its value in shaping the way to a brighter tomorrow.
