Zayed university student wins World Amateur Chess Championships

Zayed University Student Zayed Ali Al-Hamed, won sixth place in the World Amateur Chess Championships 2014, which was organized by the World Chess Federation and held in Singapore from 25 April 2014 to 04 May 2014.
The World Chess Federation is an International Sports Federation that was recognized by the International Olympic Committee in 1999. The tournament was organized according to the Swiss System in 9 Rounds, in which more than 150 participants competed for the Top 20 places. The Top players received a trophy and a certificate of Participation was awarded to all players who completed the competition.
