Zayed University Students graduate from New York University

Ten Zayed university students graduated this week from the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Scholars program at New York University Abu Dhabi, where they attended several courses pertaining to leadership, public speaking, and critical thinking writing, in addition to political power in Modern America- taught by the best-seller author of “No Excuses: Concessions of a Serial Campaigner”, Professor Robert Shrum; US foreign policy course- taught by journalist/author, James Traub; and the relationship between church and states,-taught by John Sexton, President of New York University.
The scholars met privately with his highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed at the Emirates Palace before the graduation ceremony, where they discussed the importance of the program and the scholars’ experience throughout their engagement in the compelling program.
The meeting was followed by the Graduation Ceremony, which was attended by a number of VIPs and official bodies, including His Excellency Dr. Zaki Nusseibeh, Advisor at the Presidential Ministry of the UAE, and His Excellency Michael H. Corbin, U.S Ambassador to the UAE.
The Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Scholars program takes place yearly between September and late April. It is designed for outstanding 3rd and 4th year students at one of the three government-sponsored higher education institutions in the UAE: Zayed University, the United Arab Emirates University, and Higher Colleges of Technology.
