Saeeda Al marzooqi, a student of the College of Education at Zayed University, recently attended the Global Summit on Childhood in Vancouver, where she presented her upcoming research revolving around the impact of divorce on children in the UAE.
The summit is a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue among the global community about the experience of childhood, and is part of the Association for Childhood Education International, to which Saeeda is subscribed.
Saeeda joined the association after attending the same conference last year with Dr. Jessica Essary from the College of Education, as a speaker and a representative of TQ journal from Zayed University. She is now the UAE liaison in the association.
Saeeda is keen on engaging in international conferences, as she strongly believes in the importance of interacting with people from different parts of the world who share her interest in childhood education and family affairs.
“Meeting such inspiring people who genuinely want to make a positive change in the world gives me the motivation to work harder and encourages me to achieve my goals. I am very excited to be collaborating with them for a good cause”, said Saeeda.
“ Representing the UAE in international conferences is necessary for us to highlight the efforts that the UAE is investing to develop the education system as part of its 2020 vision”, she concluded.
