Special Needs Students visit Zayed University

The Office of Accessibility recently hosted approximately 25 Grade 12 Special Needs students from government schools from Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, and Fujairah, in Zayed University Dubai Campus. Their parents and representatives accompanied the students from the Ministry of Education.
They attended an insightful presentation about Zayed University programs and admission process and also met with Student Life Counselors and other special needs students who are currently enrolled in Zayed University.The Orientation day included a tour around campus, as well a visit to the recently launched Khalaf Al Habtoor Assistive Technology Resource Center, where the Zayed University staff / PALs demonstrated the assistive technology equipment which is available for student use.
The Students left Zayed University with a renewed optimism that they will have the opportunity to further their education.
