Zayed University students to participate in the European, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern Conference on Information Systems

Three groups of IT students from Zayed University recently submitted, and got approval for, their research papers to be presented at the European, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern Conference on Information Systems (EMCIS) that is taking place in Germany this year.

The EMCIS is an annual research event addressing the Information Systems discipline with a regional as well as global perspective. It is specifically designed for Information Systems academics and professionals, and covers technical, organizational, business and social issues in the application of Information Technology.

Under the sponsorship of Abu Dhabi Police and with the guidance of their mentor, Dr. Manar Talib, eight Zayed University students from the College of Information Technology are presenting three research papers pertaining to Entrepreneurship in the UAE, and will be showcasing their findings to a large audience of fellow students and renowned researchers in the field of Information Technology.



The focus of the papers will be as follows:

    •    Paper 1: Innovative Use of IT applications for teaching entrepreneurship TO youth: UAE case study (presented by Manar Abu Talib, Fatema Al Mansori, Zahra Ballaith, Eman Hableel)

    •    Paper 2: Towards a women’s entrepreneurship century (presented by Manar Abu Talib, Hanadi Obaid, Ayesha Sultan)

    •    Paper 3: Entrepreneurship Games: Overview and their future in the UAE (presented by Manar Abu Talib, Heba Al Ammari, Asma Al Amri, Asma Al Mansoori)
