Mariam Mohd Omar Balfaqeh

Year of Graduation: 2007  - Major: Finance

I am currently working at the General Secretariat of the Executive Council. Previously, she worked at Structured and Capital Markets Unit at Mubadala where she raised finance from international markets for Mubadala's flagship social and infrastructure projects. Zayed University helped me to sharpen my skills in leadership, communication and team work. It taught me the value of working hard and smart. I remember the activities done by the Student Council and Business Council. I was very much involved in the on-campus student life. It helped shape my leadership skills.

I am currently the founder and co-manager of Tone Fitness studios in addition to my full time job in the government sector. Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak has always been the motivator of women. With her highness' guidance and support along side with government efforts, there are no doors to be unlocked, just doors to be knocked on - to be welcomed in to participate.
