WHAT IS THE CEC?
Zayed University’s Community Enhancement Center (CEC) is a non-profit center that brings Zayed University students, Alumni and the community together to develop community services on aimed to enhance the UAE community.
VISION
The Community Enhancement Center , based in Abu Dhabi, will provide opportunities for all Zayed University students and Alumni to reinvest in their community by helping to execute community-centered projects that strive to make the UAE a better place. The Center will use the skills, talents, and abilities of its Alumni to provide high quality support to the community on social and cultural issues.
MISSION
To enable Zayed University Alumni to reinvest in The center aims to encourage youth to take the responsibility to enhance the community and meet UAE community needs. It will help to build a close relationships with new talents and abilities. To motivate youth taking intuitive to make difference in the world. To place volunteers in real-world situations and experiences to provide them with qualifications to cope with life challenges and difficulties .Part of the center’s mission is to support Zayed University learning outcomes (ZULOs) in preparing a young educated citizens.
PURPOSE
The Center is established to offer support to enhance Abu Dhabi community by covering around seven broad themes: Literacy, Youth Education, Art and Culture, Work and Family, Community Service, Health Awareness and Environment Awareness.
SERVICES
The Community Enhancement Center (CEC) integrates community service with personal development. The Center will provide support through a range of activities including: workshops, courses, guest speakers, exhibitions, publications and conferences.
ADMISSION
Applicants must finish
Students: Colloquy program with a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher
Alumni: A grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher.
Applicants should submit a current resume
A passport copy
One passport-size photos
Letters of Recommendation from an advisor.
Admission Interview: Once applicants submit their application forms to the Alumni Office, the Alumni Office will conduct a preliminary screening based upon their GPA and proposal. If applicants meet the admission requirements, they will be invited for a personal interview in English or in Arabic.
