Introduction

Stemming from the University’s commitment to support the admission of qualified undergraduate applicants, Zayed University offers different scholarships for eligible international students at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semester.

Undergraduate Merit Scholarship

Zayed University is committed to offer limited merit-based scholarships for international students who achieved academic excellence during high school and continue to show excellence during their undergraduate education journey.

Eligible international applicants will be offered full tuition fee coverage.

Eligibility

a) Students must have received a formal letter of admission to a Zayed University undergraduate program. Click here to start your Zayed University undergraduate application.

b) Applications deferred will not be eligible for the scholarship.

c) Students will be assessed based on three criteria:
  • Students must achieve a minimum high school grade to be eligible to apply for the scholarship. Minimum high school grades are highlighted below.

  • Minimum SAT score of 1300 or EmSAT Math of 900.

  • Documented list of accomplishments/achievements in the last three years, academic and/or non-academic.

Note:

  • Fulfilling the eligibility requirements and applying for an Undergraduate Merit Scholarship is not a guarantee that the student will be granted a scholarship by the university.

  • The scholarship is only applicable on annual tuition fees, and does not cover additional costs such as laptop, food, housing, or transport.

Maintaining the Award (Enrolled from Fall 2022)

  • Students must maintain a minimum GPA/CGPA of 3.3.

  • Students must maintain the minimum enrollment requirement for their academic program.

  • Students must not have any disciplinary issues.

  • Students must provide 4-6 hours per week of on-campus work assignments.

Maintaining the Award (Enrolled prior to Fall 2022)

a) Obtain a minimum CGPA of 3.5. The scholarship will be given to students based on the following criteria:

  • Up to 50% if the CGPA is 3.7

  • Up to 40% if the CGPA is 3.6

  • Up to 30% if the CGPA is 3.5

b) A minimum enrollment of 15 credit hours per semester, except for senior students in their final year depending on their graduation requirements and upon the approval of the Scholarship Committee.

c) Successfully complete on-campus work assignment obligations.

d) Have no disciplinary issues.

Undergraduate Family Grant

Eligibility

Zayed University provides the Undergraduate Family Grant for families that have more than one son/daughter enrolled in Zayed University undergraduate programs. Families that qualify for the Undergraduate Family Grant will be eligible to receive a tuition discount of 25% for each sibling after the first.

The grant can not be stacked with another scholarship.

  • Students must not have any disciplinary issues.

Undergraduate Tuition Fee Discount for Children of ZU Employees

Eligibility

Zayed University will provide a 50% tuition fee discount to all children of ZU administrators, faculty, and staff on regular contracts if those children are enrolled in any of ZU’s undergraduate programs. Employees’ children will lose this benefit once their parent’s regular contract employment at the university has ended.

Maintaining the Award

  • Students must maintain the minimum enrollment requirement for their academic program.

  • Students must not have any disciplinary issues.

  • The student’s parent must be on a regular, full-time employment contract at Zayed University.

How To Apply

All international students that meet our admission requirements can apply for a scholarship via the ZU e-Services portal.

  • Click on “Start the Service”
  • There are 3 types of scholarship that you can choose to apply for, select the type that is applicable to you the most.

  • Complete and submit the scholarship application form with all supporting documents.

Note:

Before applying for a scholarship, applicants must first submit their Zayed University undergraduate application before the published deadline. Late submissions will be not be considered.

Terms & Conditions

Zayed University reserves the right to recover monies paid if the recipient:

  • receives other financial support,

  • withdraws from their academic program,

  • takes leave from the university, or

  • is dismissed from the university for academic or other reasons.
