Dear Faculty Staff Students and Friends,

Another academic year is well under way and we are looking forward towards another successful record filled with great accomplishments. The male student population in our undergraduate programs continues to grow to a new high. Our two majors in IT, Security and Networking Technologies and Enterprise Computing provide students with a state of the art curriculum, while our three joint degrees in Information Systems and Technology Management, Multimedia Design, and Technology and Education offer students the opportunity to choose a major with an interdisciplinary focus.

Over the last few years, the College has seen a remarkable growth in several critical areas, including student enrollment, number of faculty, and academic program offerings. Our undergraduate student enrollment has more than doubled over the last few years to approximately four hundred students. Our graduate program in cyber security with a focus on digital forensics, established in fall 2008, continues to maintain a robust student enrollment of over one hundred students. Recently several of our undergraduate programs have become accredited by ABET, one of the foremost accreditation bodies worldwide for the field of engineering, technology, and computer science.

Perhaps the most recent significant development for the College has been its recent renaming from the College of Information Technology to the College of Technological Innovation. The name change reflects the emerging focus in the College that stresses the creative side of learning and embraces innovation as an important way of thinking about student learning and their abilities in problem solving. Underlying all our College growth and development is a commitment to student learning and a commitment to ensuring a continuous improvement process that delivers quality education to our students.

We are delighted that we can contribute to the success of the University and the vision of its founder, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
