Attesting Documents – Other Countries

In other countries, please contact the nearest UAE Consulate or Embassy for instructions about authentication procedures and related costs.

The following are general procedures which may need to be followed:

Start with Step 1.  Then take or send the resulting document(s) to the next office listed in Step 2, who will then take or send the documents to the office in Step 3; and so on. All steps must be completed with the ultimate goal of having the document attested by a UAE Consulate or Embassy. We recommend that you check the website of each organization.  There may be fees for the notarization, endorsement and/or attestation service.

Step 1

Original or a photocopy of the document stamped by a Notary Public

Step 2

Original or a photocopy of the document endorsed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country which issued the document.

Step 3

Have the original or photocopy of the document(s) attested by a UAE Consulate or Embassy.
