Ground Transportation

The University provides daily transport connecting the Dubai and Abu Dhabi campuses. Regular transportation from Saturday through Wednesday is scheduled as follows (subject to change):

Dubai to Abu Dhabi:

1st Trip: Departs from Dubai Campus (Back door, E-Building) at 7:00 a.m., stopping by Safestway at 7:15 a.m. Returns at 1:00 p.m.
2nd Trip: Departs from Dubai Campus at 8:30 a.m. (no Safestway stop). Returns at 3:00 p.m.

Abu Dhabi to Dubai:

1st Trip: Departs from Abu Dhabi Campus (Y-Gate) at 7:00 a.m. Returns at 1:00 p.m.
2nd Trip: Departs from Abu Dhabi Campus at 8:00 a.m. Returns at 3:00 p.m.

University vehicles and Drivers are also available for other local business travel, schedule permitting.

When a University vehicle is not available, Travel Services will arrange for a taxi. Payments are made by the user and reimbursed per University policy.

Off-Campus Student Trips

Requests should be made by e-mail to Travel Services indicating the date and time of travel, destination, number of students and chaperones and any other travel considerations

Transportation of Materials

The University's Drivers commute regularly between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, so they are able to transport a certain amount of items between the campuses. This might necessitate multiple trips over a period of time, carrying partial shipments, rather than large, bulky containers, small boxes should be utilized.

Contact Travel Services on the day prior to delivery or pick-up if materials need to be transported.

Transportation Guidelines to Remember

Plan ahead, and remember to send transport requests at least one day in advance.
Transport request is on a "first-come, first-serve" basis, and should be made through e-mail.
Collection and drop-off locations will only be from/ to Dubai and Abu Dhabi campuses and places already approved by Travel Services.
Notify Travel Services of any cancellation at least one day in advance so it can re-assign the space to another user.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside University vehicles.
The daily schedule changes during Ramadan.

Travel Services will recommend alternative transport if they are unable to make suitable arrangements.
