This introductory session will cover some of the basic skills of working with SPSS. This includes entering data, running analyses, and working with graphs. This session is intended for beginners.
Before attending the workshops, attendees are asked to have SPSS 14.0 already installed and validated on their laptop. This can be done by double clicking SPSS14 from ZU Applications/Applications Explorer on your desktop (the installation may take a few minutes). Once you have installed it, contact your campus ServiceDesk for activation.
All attendees are asked to bring their laptops and cables to the sessions. Although not a requirement, attendees may peruse the following websites prior to attending the session to get an idea of how SPSS works:
• Texas A & M- a huge selection of helpful movies http://www.stat.tamu.edu/spss.php
• UCLA- SPSS 12.0 Starter Kit (useful movies, FAQs, etc) http://www.ats.ucla.edu/stat/spss/sk/default.htm
