How the Move Will Take Place

Around August 1, most departments will begin relocating to the new campus.
Unit heads have been asked to designate who will manage the move in each unit. The Facilities Department will work closely with these people to box up equipment, files and other effects for each office or workspace. Boxes should arrive in each department by the end of March to give plenty of time for packing.
Before it is moved to the new campus, each box will be labeled appropriately (with department name, number of boxes, and new location). When you first arrive in your new workspace, your files, computer, etc., should all be there, waiting to be unboxed.
PLEASE GET RID OF YOUR OFFICE DETRITUS!
Take the opportunity to do some cleaning, and help keep down the volume of material that has to be hauled. A skip (dumpster) will soon be available to dispose of waste, and shredding facilities will also be provided.
TAKE YOUR PERSONAL ITEMS WITH YOU
Sometimes things go missing in a move. Don’t leave anything behind of great personal significance.
PREORDER YOUR OFFICE SUPPLIES
We will have a temporary warehouse operating in the new campus, but don’t expect new office supplies to be provided promptly. We recommend you order supplies such as CDs, print toner, pens, etc. ahead of time to be moved with your other office effects to the new campus.
