Zayed University teamed up with Paris Gallery, the flagship retail outlet of Al Fahim Holdings, to prepare leaders in "luxury retail business".

ZU ran a four month-long training program for trainees from Paris Gallery to give employees a strong overall understanding of the luxury business environment and culture, and the skills to operate effectively within them. During the program the participants attended a group of lectures and workshops delivered by Zayed University academic staff, and covered a wide range of subjects including human resource management, finance, marketing, luxury retail techniques, brand management and leadership.

The 14 trainees who completed the "luxury retail business"program recently graduated at a ceremony at ZU's Dubai campus.

Dr. Sulaiman Al Jassim, Vice President of Zayed University, said: "This program is an example of the active role the universities can play in serving the social, economic and strategic needs of the country, through forging an innovative and mutually productive relationships with business, industry, and government, and by offering tailor-made programs for the different sectors.

"Such programs are significant in preparing national workforce to shoulder their responsibilities in the service and development of their community while embodying the qualities of leadership in the workplace, and it comes in line with the government's efforts to involve the citizens in its ambitious development plans, and for them to contribute to raising the reputation of the UAE in all fields."
