*The library is closed during national holidays. Online Chat Reference service is not available during holidays, but questions can be submitted and will be answered by the librarians over email as soon as working hours resume.

**The male and female Learning Enhancement Centers (first floor) and the Information Commons (ground floor) are open to their respective genders during all library operating hours. Female graduate students can access the female Learning Enhancement Center (first floor) by using the elevators on the female campus.

Library Access

Female graduate students can access the library by using the elevator on the ground floor which is accessible through the cafeteria located on the male campus. Female graduate students are not permitted to use the Learning Enhancement Center (first floor) as a hallway, study hall or short cut to access the library. The assistance of a library staff member or security agent to access the library should also not be asked. It is not permitted to order refreshments from the cafeteria for use in the library.

Graduate Student Study Lounge

The study lounge is for the exclusive use of Zayed University graduate students and is located on the second floor (Room LIB. 2083). The study lounge will be available whenever Zayed University is open.

Graduate students are also welcome to reserve one of the ample rooms available at the library for quiet study use and/or impromptu graduate student meetings. Please contact the information desk at the library for a reservation. 

Book Delivery Service

The library will operate book delivery services from the General Collection to the Learning Enhancement Centers for students who may not use the second and third floors due to gender separation. On the days when the General Collection is closed to men, books may be requested for delivery to the male Learning Enhancement Center. When the General Collection is closed to women, books can be delivered to the female Learning Enhancement Center.

Books will be delivered to both Learning Enhancements Centers at the following times:

  • All books requested by 9:00 a.m. will be delivered to the respective gender Learning Enhancement Center by 10:00 a.m.
  • All books requested between 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. will be delivered at 2:00 p.m.

Requests will be accepted through:

  • Library Catalog Request (Please visit the Library Circulation Desk located on the second floor to create a PIN.)
  • In person at the Learning Enhancement Centers (Please complete the forms available with the relevant information in order for library staff to located the book(s) with ease.)

Support Services

Photocopy Machines and Printers

Photocopy machines and printers are available for all students to use in the first and second floors of the libraries. Graduate students may inquire about these services and how to configure their laptops to be able to use library printers. In addition, the library has a few computers which are directly connected to the printers for patrons to use.
