Zayed University Admission Requirements

Zayed University welcomes applications from U.A.E. National or International applicants, both male and female.

 U.A.E. National Applicants

 To be considered for admission, all National applicants must:

♦   Have a valid U.A.E. passport

♦   Have a valid U.A.E. National Identity Certificate

♦   Have a minimum CEPA English score of 150

♦   Have a CEPA Mathematics score (no minimum score is currently required)

 Applicants from a high school following the U.A.E. curriculum must have:

♦   12 yrs of school and an attested General School Leaving Certificate

♦   A minimum 70% average in academic subjects

If you come from a high school following an International curriculum

♦   GCSE/IGCSE:   Must complete five subjects at the ordinary level and two subjects at the GCE Advanced Subsidiary or Advanced level, with a minimum C grade in each subject

♦   International Baccalaureate:   Must successfully complete five subjects

♦   Others must have an attested certificate from the U.A.E Ministry of Education and be in good standing with a minimum 70% average, or 2.0 GPA (or equivalent), in their academic subjects

 If you are currently in high school, or have completed high school this year:

♦   Submit a completed application form with all documentation attached and Zayed University selected as your primary choice of institution to the National Admissions and Placement Office (NAPO).  Applications are submitted online at www.napo.ae

If you completed high school previous to this year:

♦ Complete an application form found in the Office of Enrollment Management on any of our campuses and provide all required documentation.  Please see our website (www.zu.ac.ae) for details.

U.A.E. National Applicants who meet the following requirements may be admitted directly to the undergraduate general education program:

♦   A minimum CEPA English score of 150 AND a valid IELTS certificate with an average overall score of 5.0 or greater (no individual score less than 4.5) or a valid TOEFL iBT certificate with a score of 61 or greater.

** Additional assessment testing may be required dependent upon IELTS/TOEFL iBT results.

International (Non U.A.E. National) Applicants

 To be considered for admission, all International applicants must:

♦   Submit a completed application form (found on our website at www.zu.ac.ae) including all required documentation and a AED 250 non-refundable application fee

♦   Provide a valid IELTS certificate with an average overall score of 5.0 or greater (no individual score less than 4.5) or a valid TOEFL iBT certificate with a score of 61 or greater. To be valid, an IELTS/TOEFL iBT test score must be less than 2 years old.

♦   Pay required tuition fee of AED 75000 per academic year (2 semesters).  Please see our application form for payment details.

**In exceptional circumstances, students who cannot meet the IELTS/TOEFL iBT requirement may be permitted to enroll in the upper levels of our pre-undergraduate English program

** Additional assessment testing may be required dependent upon IELTS/TOEFL iBT results

ZU Admission requirements for Diploma or Higher Diploma Graduates

 For U.A.E. Nationals to be considered for admission, all applicants must:

♦   Have been in good standing and achieved a 2.0 GPA or equivalent

♦   Provide a valid IELTS certificate with an average overall score of 5.0 or greater (no individual score less than 4.5) or a valid TOEFL iBT certificate with a score of 61 or greater. To be valid, an IELTS/TOEFL iBT test score must be less than 2 years old.

♦ Complete an application form found in the Office of Enrollment Management on any of our campuses and provide all required documentation.  Please see our website (www.zu.ac.ae) for details.

 For International (Non U.A.E. National) applicants to be considered for admission, all applicants must:
