Internship

Communication and media internships earn academic credit and add a significant real-world component to a student's education. Students earn six credits for an internship in their final year gaining valuable experience in their specialty by working with seasoned professionals.

The College prepares its prospective interns before the actual work experience through a preparatory "bridge week" between the academic world and the professional world. Internship sites include top media organizations as well as key public organizations that have media or public relations departments or units. The Dubai sites have included Reuters, Fortune Promoseven, Team Young and Rubicam, the Arabian Radio Network, Emirates, Dnata, Dubai World Trade Center, Etisalat, Dubai Press Club, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Chamber of Commerce, National Bank of Dubai, Dubai Police, Ajman TV, UAQ FM and others. The Abu Dhabi sites have included Phoenix Advertising, Emirates Media, Emirates News Agency, the Cultural Foundation, ADCO, Al Mawadda Magazine, UNDP, the Women's Union and the Red Crescent Society.
