Bio

Zeng-Yu “Victor” Huang joined the College of Business Sciences, Zayed University, in January, 2011. He completed his PhD at the UCD Smurfit School of Business, University College Dublin, Ireland. Prior to his relocation to the Middle East, Victor have taught in Europe, Asia, and the US, including: University College Dublin, University of New Haven, Schiller International University, Kaplan Group, etc. His research interests includes: Radical Innovation and Entrepreneurial Opportunity Recognition, International Management and Strategy, Cultural Psychology, Chinese Management & Organizations, as well as Gender studies in the Middle East, etc. He is one of the lead researchers for the GEM (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor) UAE Report, and the Program Chair for the Academy of International Business MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Chapter conference 2012. Victor is the special issue editor for: Journal of Strategy and Management (Emerald), Global Business Review (SAGE); and served as an ad-hoc reviewer for number of peer-reviewed leading academic journals and conferences worldwide.

Victor was a China national award recipient and held a visiting scholarship to China’s elite Tsinghua University in 2007. He is a founding member of International association of Chinese management research (IACMR); a committee member of the AIB MENA chapter, a member of the Academy of Management (U.S.A), and Academy of International Business (U.S.A). His academic work have published in outlets such as: peer-reviewed journals, conferences, book chapters, business reports, and his writings featured in trade journals and magazines such as Business Week (International Edition), Business & Finance, etc.

He advised on numerous international project, and consults regularly with Fortune Global 500 companies, European and Chinese government agencies. He co-founded three companies in China and Europe, and successfully managed multi-million venture capital fund with EUREKA. Having gained extensive experiences as both practitioner and entrepreneur, He have appeared on TV, Radio programs internationally.

Dr. Huang has lived and worked in over 50 countries, and he was trained as a professional figure skater since the age of 9.
