Susan CrottyAssistant Professor BioDr. Crotty received her Ph.D. from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in the U.S. Her research surrounds culture in many social contexts. Her longstanding interest in Middle Eastern cultural issues in management areas brought her to Dubai in 2009. She has published on multicultural teams and creativity, culture and negotiation, negotiation, and non-Western teamwork process. Her current and ongoing projects examine teamwork process and multicultural teams in Middle Eastern cultures, Emiratization (both policy and applied research), cross-cultural differences in work values, and cultural differences in UAE teachers with implications for management. Her work has appeared in journals such as International Journal of Conflict Management and Negotiation and Conflict Management Journal. Since graduate school, she has presented at a variety of international conferences including the Academy of Management and the annual conferences of the International Association of Conflict Management (IACM).
