Bio

Emily David has served as an Assistant Professor of Management at Zayed University since August, 2011. She completed her graduate work at the University of Houston in May, 2011. Emily has published articles on personality, job performance, and employee well-being issues in journals such as Human Resource Management Review and the Journal of Occupational Health Psychology. As a graduate student, Emily presented at a number of international conferences and was invited to doctoral consortia at the meetings for the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Southern Management Academy, and Academy of Management. Additionally, she received the award for Best Doctoral Paper in the HR Track at the Southern Management Academy meeting. She has also consulted for organizations such as NASA, SaudiARAMCO, ExxonMobil, MD Anderson Cancer Center, and the U.S. Navy.

Research and Professional Activities

Emily’s current research continues to explore the impact of personality and other individual differences on performance and employee burnout. She is also interested in examining effective performance management and feedback systems in the UAE as well as specific job burnout antecedents in the Gulf Region.
