Zayed University’s internationally accredited Master of Arts in Diplomacy and International Affairs and Graduate Certificate in Diplomacy and International Affairs programs blend the best of tradition and prestige in helping form global leaders in the public and private sector. The College of Arts and Sciences prides itself on preparing the next generation of leaders of the United Arab Emirates for successful careers in diplomacy and international affairs. The Masters and Graduate Certificate programs in Diplomacy and International Affairs were launched in 2009 as advanced training and educational programs for young leaders who wish to understand the complexities of world politics in the 21st century and to contribute to the solution of the challenges facing the international community. Our students come from all backgrounds and disciplines ready to be prepared to assume positions of leadership in public and private entities dealing with international affairs.

The graduate programs have a unique focus on the external relations of the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East. The curriculum provides a deep understanding ofcritical regional and international political issues and policies by offering specialized courses in international law, international political economy, diplomatic history, security studies, among others as well as negotiation skills development and leadership training. Practical training in public speaking is also part of the program and participants will enhance their ability to communicate with the media and potential investors in national and international settings.

The Masters and Graduate Certificate programs are designed for professionals from both the public and private sector who seek to earn a graduate degree while working full-time. Participants are provided with comprehensive professional training, knowledge and analytical skills vital to pursue international and national careers in government, business, and the non-profit sector, or to represent the interests of the United Arab Emirates to other states and multilateral institutions.
