Scott MorrisonAssistant Professor B.A. Philosophy, New York University - 1994. BioScott Morrison completed the Ph.D. in political science at Columbia University in 2004. Since then he has held two Fulbright grants supporting a year each in Turkey (2003-2004) and the Maldives (2007-2008). He served as postdoctoral fellow and lecturer in the Department of Middle Eastern Languages and Literatures (2004-2006) and visiting assistant professor in the Religion Department (2006-2007) at Columbia University.

In addition, a book manuscript titled “Secularism Revised: religious freedom, Arab Islam, and equidistance” is in preparation. Recent conference presentations were given at the annual meeting of the Middle East Studies Association and a University of Otago conference on conceptions of peace. |
