Bio

Dr. Mozayyan was born in Tehran, Iran. He moved to Switzerland at age twelve to pursue his studies. Eight years later, he left Europe for the United States where he enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania, completing his graduate and undergraduate degrees.He maintained a long career in corporate America working in senior management positions, while remaining active in academia. He has worked in a number of countries, including Switzerland, Mexico, and Japan.  As of 2002, he fully focused his attention on academia, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in Europe and the United States.

Research and Professional Activities

Currently working on publishing a major study focusing on the role of leaders in socio-economic development, as well as completing a book on oil and nationalism in Iran during the mid 1950s.

Some of Dr. Mozayyan's current publications relate to such toics as cultural exchanges in the 19th century between the Middle East and Europe; prospects and perspectives on Middle Eastern Sovereign Wealth Funds, and the evolution of politics at the state and street level in the Middle East since the 1970s.
