Ph.D. University of Kansas, USA, 1996. BioMaher is Associate Professor. He received a B.Sc. from the University of Tunis and his MS. Ed. and Ph.D. from the University of Kansas, USA. Maher served as Acting Assistant Dean for the College of Family Sciences, Interim Chair for the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and is currently the Chair of the Undergraduate Research Scholars Program. Maher’s research interests are in the areas of Emirati family strength, adjustment and well-being, especially the effects of globalization and social and cultural changes on Emirati youth identity. Maher also specializes in issues of teaching and learning and in undergraduate research scholarship.
