Research and Professional Activities

I am the recipient of the 2010 Provost’s Research Fellowship.  I just submitted a book manuscript on the totem pole carver, Charlie James, to the University of Washington Press for peer review and am currently working on a book manuscript on the relationship between built and natural environments in the traditional architecture and settlements of the United Arab Emirates.  This work is partially funded by a grant from the Emirates Foundation.
