Bio

Omid Rouhani, has received a Master of Archit ecture from the University of Arizona and a Bachelors of Arts with Honors in the architecture from the University of Central England. Afte r working as a practicing architect in three different continents and designing and supervising more than sixty projects ranging from custom homes to large corporative international regional head offices he has given his time to being a full time faculty member at Zayed University teaching interior design. His research interests are in historical preservation in particular in the middle east and addressing the new design needs in fast growing global society of today. He is currently involved with a joint student faculty research in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaima, surveying historical abandoned districts of the city and is working on a proposal for its revitalization. Papers based on his research has been presented at national and international conferences.
