Research Focus:

  • Actively involved in action research. Current project on biographical studies of Bangladeshi domestic workers in Abu Dhabi.

  • Ongoing research on Migration: Comparative study of migrant workers in UAE and Singapore.

  • Ongoing research on comparative study of Foreign Domestic Workers in ASEAN countries in collaboration with University of Tokushima, Japan since September 2007.

  • Coordinator of NAW (Network of Asian Women) an NGO operating from Singapore.

  • Organizer of NGOs in Singapore and Bangladesh.
