Users

The libraries are available to:

• All current Zayed University faculty, staff and students
• Zayed University alumnae
• Ministry of Education teachers (application forms available at the Circulation Desk)
• Research Affiliates (special permission is required)
• LIWA Consortium members

Community users

Community users include:

• Teachers of the Minstry of Education schools
• Researchers

Members of the community can use the libraries with special permission from the Dean or Assistant Dean. For enquiries contact the Circulation Desk staff. Access to campuses is restricted and an application and CV is required for researchers. Call in advance for an appointment to visit.

Borrowing priviledges

Not all users can borrow materials. On production of a current ZU ID card, users can borrow items as follows:

Books can be borrowed from any campus library and returned at either campus.

 

Contact the Circulation Desk staff to:

• Arrange intercampus loans and deliveries (allow 24 hours)
• Renew books
• Arrange to reserve items (faculty only)
• Access reserve items
• Collect items from LIWA libraries
• Report loss or damage of materials

Overdue items

An overdue notice will be sent automatically to users who do not return items on time.
Users cannot borrow additional items until items are returned
Students cannot access transcripts until all items are returned

Loss or damage of library items

Users are expected to pay the replacement cost of the items
Payment must be made to the Finance Department after a cost has been determined at the Circulation Desk.
