The University Language Center is dedicated to supporting the development of students’ academic language abilities in English and Arabic throughout their time in the Baccalaureate program. The ULC achieves its mission through assisting in the refinement of language-development dimensions of the curriculum in the Colloquy on Integrated Learning and in the majors, building faculty capacity for work in bilingual environments, and offering individual support to students. The ULC also acts as a resource for assessing overall institutional effectiveness through gathering, archiving and analyzing assessment information relevant to student achievement in both languages.
