Arabic Language Center (ALC) - Director: Nasr Aref

The Arabic Language Center is dedicated to supporting the development of students' academic Arabic throughout their time in the Baccalaureate program. It does this through assessing the Arabic competency of all students upon their entrance to the Baccalaureate program, delivering Arabic instruction in the Colloquy on Integrated Learning, and in developing students' professional Arabic in the Arabic-across-the-curriculum program in the majors.  The Center also acts as a resource for assessing overall institutional effectiveness in developing students' Arabic through delivering and analyzing exit assessments. The ALC is staffed by faculty from the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies.
