The film has been shot using a PAL Sony PD150 camera on anamorphic (16:9) mode, using DVCAM settings and tape.

Filters from Tiffen's Film Look filters four pack were used. For the desert scene, the Warm Black filter was used. For all the others shots, the Black Pro-Mist filter was used.

Halogen lights including a 800 K Tota light and reflector were used. The most difficult aspect of the filming was the harsh light and the sharp shadows found in the summer.

The Spring/Summer heat which rose to 47 centrigrades degrees outside (about 115 degrees Fahrenheit) was also a challenge and at time we had to use shades over our actors. This underlit some scenes but we hope to correct this at post production.

After completition of editing using Final Cut Pro (including colour grading and a sound mix), we will send the digital film to be converted into 35 mm film. This, we hope will improve the quality some more and will enable us to project it in film theatres and local and international film festivals. We plan to also release the film on DVD and VHS for libraries, universities and home use.

To be able to achieve all these, we are still seeking Dhs 120,000 (US$32,432). Please see the sponsorship page for our business plan and information on how you can become a partner in this innovative venture in the United Arab Emirates.
