The Film

Name – “And the Desert Smiled,” approximately 30 mins to 45 minutes.

a) The film will be the first production of its kind by U.A.E. women.
b) The film will also pioneer the use of digital technology for the shooting of films.
c) The film will usher in a new wave of U.A.E. filmmakers and make the country and the region a major film center.
d) The film will showcase the rapid growth of Dubai and the U.A.E. and its culture, diversity, history, education and business development.

Where the film will be seen – The market

a) The film will be made available to international and local film festivals such as The Sydney Film Festival, Berlin Film Festival, New York Film Festival, Cairo Film festival, Dubai Film Festival etc.
b) The film will be made available to regional and local TV stations for airing.
c) The film will be made available to film theatres in the U.A.E. and gulf countries.
d) The film will be distributed as DVD and VHS copies to libraries, education institutions, video libraries and for personal home use.

We are seeking 120,000 Dirhams -

For 15,000 Dirhams and above:

We will have our main characters hold or make use of your company/organization’s product at least two different times in the film. Your company/organization’s name will be shown clearly on screen.
ii) We will acknowledge you in the film’s end credits.
