Curriculum: Technology and Education (Joint with the College of Education)
The Colleges of Education and Information Systems jointly offer the B.S. in Technology and Education degree. The emphasis is on the knowledge and skills needed to manage an IT laboratory, provide instruction in basic technology skills, and serve as a resource for the use of educational technology.
The program consists of courses in Education (47 hours, including 12 that also fulfill general education requirements), and courses in Information Systems (33 hours).
The Technology and Education major prepares students for positions such as trainers in technology, computer lab supervisors, consultants, and developers of educational technologies. The U.A.E. has a strong need for professionals in these fields in both the government and private sectors.
