IMPORTANT REMINDER

Delegates who have not sent the hotel reservation form are kindly reminded to do so immediately or by September 10 at the latest so that their first or second choice may be reserved. The conference organizing committee cannot guarantee any accommodation requests received after September 10 (subject to availability and normal rates) and delegates will find it very difficult and costly to find hotel rooms in Dubai after that date.

Thank you for your cooperation.

We’ve missed you.

It’s been four years since you’ve been here.

Much has happened.

Dubai has emerged as arguably the most dynamic city in the world today.  A quarter of the world’s construction cranes operate here.  The Burj Al Arab, that iconic hotel shaped like a sail, is about to become a dwarf.  The Burj Dubai is ascending at the rate of two stories a week.  By the time you read this, it will have reached 85 stories, which means it’s about halfway to becoming the tallest building in the world.

It’s not just the skyline that’s changing.  This nation of seven Emirates that came together in 1971 to form the United Arab Emirates, has managed to keep re-energizing itself.  You’ll see that energy reflected in the faces of Zayed University’s all-female, all-National student body.  You’ll see it in the striking architecture of the University’s new Dubai campus, now a part of the Academic City complex.

Zayed University is proud to welcome you back to the United Arab Emirates in 2007—to what will be the 12th annual conference of the Arab-U.S. Association of Communication Educators.

We, the faculty of the College of Communication and Media Sciences, say, “Welcome back.”

See you in the UAE in 2007.
